Better Mental Health for Older People
IPA - Winners - IPA Research Awards in Psychogeriatrics

Winners of the
IPA Research Awards in Psychogeriatrics

One of IPA's principal goals is the advancement of research in the field of mental health in the elderly. The IPA Research Awards in Psychogeriatrics were established to stimulate high quality research and to reward outstanding research efforts in the field. The awards have not only helped focus the medical and scientific communities' interest in psychogeriatric issues, but have helped expand scientific knowledge about psychogeriatrics.

These Awards have been presented since 1989 for the best original, unpublished research in psychogeriatrics. Winners receive a stipend to cover the cost of attending the IPA Congress, present their papers at a special symposium, and receive a medallion commemorating the event. Prize winning papers also are published in International Psychogeriatrics.
